About NYCDA

Based in Bury, Greater Manchester, National Youth & Community Development Association (NYCDA) is a not-for-profit organisation that primarily looks to raise funds for its beneficiary partners via our Gambling Commission licenced NYCDA Weekly Draw.

Lotteries Council member NYCDA exists to help partners provide sport, health and education-based opportunities to young people and their families, regardless of their background and ability. We do this by working with a variety of organisations ranging from localised charities to professional sports clubs across country.

We are always on the lookout for new beneficiary partners who want to work out and as such encourage anyone interested in finding out more to get in touch.

The great thing about our partnership with the NYCDA Weekly Draw is that not only do you get the chance to win cash every week, the partnership allows the club to raise 10s of £1,000s each year to help it grow and support our work in the local community.

You could win a max of £10,000 via the Rollover prize whilst supporting your local community organisation's aims and objectives.

Where do the proceeds go?

All proceeds from the NYCDA Weekly Draw go towards meeting our community support focused aims and objectives. Members join to participate in the weekly draw and nominate a chosen beneficiary partner to receive a donation from proceeds.

Despite these trials and tribulations, as part of our annual reporting, we are pleased to report that total income from the NYCDA Weekly Draw of £1,128,044.00 was generated over the 53 weekly draws that took place during the calendar year of 2025. You will note due to the unusual situation of having 53 Wednesdays in a year, figures and percentages look slightly different from previous years.

From that total, a fantastic £592,449.57 (52.52%) was generated to be used by our beneficiaries and good causes for a range of sport, health & wellbeing, youth player development and education-based community projects. These projects range from youth player development of rugby league talent in Leeds and the support of skin cancer awareness campaigns with Melanoma UK, to funding the improvement of community focused semi-professional sport in Lancaster, and cricket based community development programmes across County Durham and the North East.

On top of those funds raised, the rest of the income is spent on organisational expenses and our prize fund, with nearly £100,000 up for grabs each year, including a guaranteed £1000 main prize and a £500 Rollover that can reach a huge £10,000.
