About Walsall FC

The Saddlers have enjoyed a rich history since the two leading clubs in Walsall, namely Walsall Swifts and Walsall Town, merged to form Walsall Town Swifts in 1888. Becoming Walsall in 1895, there have been plenty of highs and lows over the years, which all come together to make up our colourful past and we are sure, will shape a bright future at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

Central to this rich history, Walsall FC has a longstanding and proud tradition of developing local home grown players' talent to play for our first team and the club have no intention on stopping this trend any time soon. Exciting times are upon us for football in general and Walsall FC specifically, with positive strides taking place in the men's and women's sides, as well as much more.

There are a number of opportunities to play your part with us now and get involved with the action both on and off the field. If you want to know more about these opportunities as a potential player, coach or volunteer then just get in touch with the club directly via the below and we will point you in the right direction:

Why everyone's a winner

The great thing about our partnership with the NYCDA Weekly Draw is that not only do you get the chance to win cash every week, the partnership allows the club to raise 10s of £1,000s each year to help it grow and support our work in the local community.

Every time you play, you are helping the club to grow its youth development programmes to include more young people, coaches and volunteers across Walsall and beyond.

£1,000s in cash prizes every week

Every time you play you support...

Every time you play you support Walsall FC and its commitments to providing opportunities for local youngsters to be involved on football and improving the game day experience.

You could win a max of £10,000 via the Rollover prize whilst supporting Walsall FC and its youth development work.

Where do the proceeds go?

All proceeds from the weekly draw partnership with NYCDA go towards supporting the Saddlers youth development programmes in the local community. In addition to this all members choosing to support the Saddlers will also play a part in improving stadium facilities and the game day experience for new and old fans alike.

Saddlers greats such as Troy Deeney, Will Grigg and Rico Henry alongside current stars Liam Kinsella and Ronan Maher have all come through our high successful youth system over the years and this number will only increase with the guidance of our forward thinking youth development programme. This is great for the men's side of the beautiful game, but our new offer is so much more, with an increased focus on increasing female participation a key club aim.

Images featured below show the real-life impact of these projects, including providing opportunities for young people of all backgrounds to experience football. Going forward we are focused on increasing our membership who choose to support Walsall FC in this way to help us achieve such impact.
