About Durham Cricket

Durham Cricket Foundation is the official charity and community arm of Durham Cricket, dedicated to supporting communities and growing the game.

The Foundation's work is focused around two key objectives: to ensure recreational cricket in the region thrives - the charity acts as the governing body of the sport in the region and work with 101 cricket clubs - and to design programmes around the real needs of the community - investing in people's futures and creating opportunities that go beyond the game.

Through their initiatives and projects, Durham Cricket Foundation reach and impact the lives of thousands of people within the region through the power of cricket.

Why everyone's a winner

The great thing about our partnership with the NYCDA Weekly Draw is that not only do you get the chance to win cash every week, the partnership allows the club to raise 10s of £1,000s each year to help it grow and support the Durham Cricket Foundation.

Every time you play, you are helping the club to grow our Foundation's community development programmes to include more young people, coaches and volunteers across Durham and beyond.

£1,000s in cash prizes every week

Every time you play you support...

Every time you play you support Durham Cricket and its commitment to developing the best local cricketing talent from across Durham and the wider North East.

You could win a max of £10,000 via the Rollover prize whilst supporting your cricket club and its community development work.

Where do the proceeds go?

In 2024, the Durham Cricket Foundation entered a new era - uniting the former Foundation and Durham Cricket Board under a single mission: to bridge the power of sport with the real needs of the community.

Under the 'Howzat' partnership, funds raised through the NYCDA Weekly Draw will go directly into focus programme areas aligned with the Foundation's five-year strategy. These include:

  • Expanding inclusive cricket programmes for women, girls, disabled players and South Asian communities
  • Delivering health and wellbeing initiatives like Walking Cricket, creative arts groups and work with the Great North Children's Hospital
  • Supporting over 100 grassroots cricket clubs and developing new opportunities for young people to get involved
  • Growing community projects to tackle social isolation, promote mental health and strengthen local communities and connection
