About Durham Cricket

Durham Cricket has a longstanding and proud record of developing local home grown cricketing talent to successfully play for our first team, as well as other top flight clubs and the national England side. Such activity means we are heavily focused on providing opportunities for local people both on and off the field.

At the heart of our offer is the club's very own official Durham Cricket Foundation. Durham Cricket Foundation is the charity arm of Durham Cricket and aims to use its expertise and capacity to support communities and inspire people to live healthier and happy lifestyles.

We do this through the delivery of a variety Health & Well-being, Education & Training, Community Cohesion and Cricket Development Projects.

The 'Howzat Partnership' between Durham Cricket and NYCDA builds on the clubs lottery related fundraising activities that have gone on for decades, by raising funds by working together in a new refreshed manner to allow the Foundation to do more and more great work.

Recently representatives from both sides of the partnership were on hand for a photo opportunity, which has seen us raise nearly £40,000 over the last couple of years, against the backdrop of Covid and so much more. Pictured below is first team coach Neil Killeen, who was on hand to receive the giant cheque for £39,564.58 as part of a presentation ahead of a County Championship victory over Sussex.
