About Kendal Town FC

Kendal Town is a non league football club from South Lakeland, Cumbria. Founded in 1919, the club has a strong history rooted in the area, having been formed by local Somervell Brothers factory employees over a century ago. We currently compete in the Ebac Northern League Division One, at level nine (non league step five) of the English football pyramid.

Since a new committee took over in 2021, we've been dedicated to revitalising the club, engaging with the town and building sustainable growth. Through a lot of hard work from volunteers, management and players, our attendances have more than doubled in recent years and we've re-cemented our place at the heart of the community.

As well as our senior mens team, we also oversee U18s, U23s and ladies teams, ensuring we create a strong player pathway for all ages and genders. But our football club is more than just the 11 players on the field; it's a vital hub for the entire town. We bring together people of all backgrounds, helping foster friendships and local pride.

Where do the proceeds go?

Our stadium has been at the heart of the community for over a century and is in urgent need of repairs and upgrades. The wear and tear of time, coupled with growing crowds, means that we require significant improvements in order to continue our development as a club and local asset.

In addition to essential repairs, we want to enhance our stadium to better serve our players, fans, and town. From renovating stands and maintaining the pitch, to improving accessibility and catering facilities, prospective works are crucial to keeping our club competitive and welcoming to all.

While Kendal Town Football Club remains sustainable, we simply cannot afford to fund these necessary improvements on our own.
